Ymea - Providing support during the menopause
Ymea combines extracts of three plants well-known for their individual properties to give a unique formula rich in natural isoflavones and plant extracts.
Soya Extract
It is the fall in levels of oestrogen and progesterone that gives rise to the symptoms of the menopause. The main ingredient in Ymea is soya extract. Studies among Japanese and Chinese women showed those consuming a diet rich in soya enjoyed many health benefits, particularly during the Menopause. The scientific community has taken particular interest in the amount of soya these women consume, because of soya's isoflavone content.
Ymea provides 17.2mg of natural isoflavones per capsule.
Hops (Humulus Lupulus)
Hops is a plant of European origin and has an oestrogenic action similar to soya, as it contains a natural phyto-oestrogen called 8-prenylnaringenine.
Bitter Melon extract
Bitter Melon, which is included in the Ymea formulation, is an extract containing natural antioxidants. Antioxidants can help protect the body from the damaging effects of excess free radicals caused by pollution, UV light or by general metabolic processes. Antioxidants neutralise these excess free radicals, helping to maintain cell integrity, which in turn may help reduce the visible signs of ageing.
Each capsule provides:
Soya extract (20% isoflavones) : 86mg
Hops extract : 25mg
Bitter Melon extract : 1.4mg
